President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni assents to the NGO Bill 2015 effectively establishing the Non-Governmental Organisations Act, 2016.
The Act repeals and replaces the NGO Act Cap 113, makes provisions for the corporate status of the National Bureau for Non-Governmental Organisations and provides fro its capacity to register, regulate, coordinate and monitor Non-Governmental Organisations activities.
