In 2015, Nicholas Opiyo was honoured with the Human Rights Watch highest tribute, the Alison Des Forges Award for Extraordinary Activism in recognition of his unwavering, fearless commitment to human rights.

As part of honouring his courageous work, Nicholas has since been hosted to several dinners to talk about his work and that of Chapter Four Uganda in defending fundamental human rights for all.
