NGO leaders hold breakfast meeting with MPs as Committee prepares to table report

NGO leaders convene a breakfast meeting at Hotel Africana to hold discussions with several Members of Parliament (MPs) as Committee prepares to table its report on the floor of the House.

Several MPs were in attendance and they confirmed that since the NGO Bill was on the day's Order Paper of Parliament, they will debate to ensure that the NGO sector is well regulated with a progressive and enbaling law.

The Country Director of Action Aid Uganda, Mr. Arthur Larok chaired the meeting.

Chapter Four's Peter Magelah presented to the honourable members some of the key problematic provisions of the Bill.
