Brief Bio
John Bosco Thembo is a human rights lawyer and researcher.
Before joining Chapter Four Uganda, John Bosco worked as a Research Associate at the Foundation for Human Rights Initiative (FHRI) where he actively participated in the publication of various national human rights reports; development of human rights training manuals and development of advocacy strategies. He has conducted numerous prison and police visits while implementing the Pre-trial Detention Rights Project and was able to interface with various stakeholders in the Criminal Justice System.
At Chapter Four, John Bosco is engaged in various researches on civil liberties, including monitoring and documenting incidents of human rights violations, assessing the legality of the Covid-19 pandemic preventive guidelines issued by the government, and assessing implications of bills and laws on human rights principles.
