Brief Bio

Gloria is a feminist lawyer with a Bachelor of Laws degree from Makerere University Kampala and a Post-Graduate Diploma from the Law Development Center. She is passionate about the power of strategic litigation as a tool of advancing social justice, in particular human rights and democratisation. Before joining Chapter Four Uganda, she worked with the Center for Reparation and Rehabilitation in the Northern Uganda district of Gulu where she provided humanitarian protection and assistance for victims of armed conflict and other situations of violence especially sexual and gender- based violence and land rights.

She has also worked with the Center for Health, Human Rights and Development (CEHURD) as a Program Officer – Strategic Litigation where she advanced social justice in health through litigation, policy advocacy and partnerships. She has experience in strategic litigation on various human rights issues and handling partner engagements through her work with the Legal Support Network – Uganda Chapter aimed at advancing Sexual Reproductive Rights and Women’s rights. She has provided capacity building for various coalitions, including coalitions to stop maternal mortality in Uganda (CSSMUA), among others.
