The Constitutional Court of Uganda has nullified the Public Order Management Act, 2013. By a majority 4 – 1 decision, the court declared section 8 of the law unconstitutional, thereby rendering police powers to block or disperse peaceful assemblies null and void. The court further declared that all acts done under the law are null and void.
